Data

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data

Data is a set of values of qualitative or quantitative variables; restated, pieces of data are individual pieces of information.

"Personally identifiable information", as used in US privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context.

"personal information" means information or an opinion (including information or an opinion forming part of a database), whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not, about an individual whose identity is apparent,

Essentially data is quantitative it is stored, used and shared and can be used as a legal for of identification and social. however what i want to discover is that does this ‘data’ have an effect or change who we are. as stated here personal data list important fact about us e.g medical, name, gender and postal facts but though prior research data is not just confined to this, rather it is everywhere in media. what we post on social media, photos we take, art we make, the clothes we wear - all is data that we produce, create and are exposed to.
